Commitment to Acknowledging Place and Culture:

We would like to acknowledge that the North Coast Ecology Centre is located on the traditional territory of the Coast Ts'msyen people. The stewardship of these lands, waters, and resources by the Tsimshian people goes back to time immemorial.

The ties between humans and ecosystems are inextricably linked. This relationship makes up an important part of the mosaic of this land and its diverse ecosystems. Moving forward, we will engage the community in a centre that celebrates the North Coast, promotes education, and respectfully acknowledges traditional culture and knowledge.

ABOUT US
